Embracing the history of the One Wall Street building and its Art Deco heritage by adopting a neutral yet luminous color palette á la Jean-Michel Frank - Atra, in collaboration with French CA, reimagined some of their signature collection pieces with the DNA of this prestigious development in mind. The penthouse unit overlooking New York Upper Bay is the perfect setting to exalt Atra’s bespoke pieces.
Upholstered in Sandra Jordan luxurious alpaca fabrics, the sofas and lounge chairs part away from the Art Deco aesthetic to a more futuristic design language. The desk, coffee and side tables are also playing with the visual codes of the era through color and material to shift to less expected territories when it comes to design.With the lighting design, the reference to Art Deco is more straightforward, Atra's teardrop sconces in brass and alabaster are made extra large especially for the apartment. Designed for One Wall Street, Alexander Diaz Andersson created the Firo lamps, a new york skyscraper shaped wall lamp in brass which diffuses a soft light through the penthouse living area.
